Sports Science

I always get a chuckle out of Sports Science segments, but would never put any weight behind their "findings". If they threw and tried to catch 1,000 footballs, half with 12.5 psi and half with 10.5 psi, in a range of conditions, then I might put some weight into the work. Until then, the fact that many QBs, including Brady, prefer a softer ball is enough evidence to me that there's a likely advantage. And my own experience of course, shows that catching a softer ball is easier than a harder one.
