U$ seems likely to close like crazy and land the best Pac-12 class by hundreds of miles. Then UCLA.
Yet another example of the gross competitive disadvantage we're at relative to Oregon who gets to play Colorado more often than not while we're stuck playing the LA schools every year.
Stanford REALLY should push to end this nonsense. Maybe it could get Ca.l to go along with it too. Since UCLA has a seven game losing streak to Stanford, they might even be in favor of not having to play Stanford every year guaranteed. U$C probably doesn't care one way or the other, other than the fact they like going to NorCal every year.
Count me as one still in the camp of enjoying the annual games against US'C and UCL.A. I'd rather see my team play games against opponents I care about than have a soft schedule with more guaranteed winds. And with the CFP, we may end up benefiting from playing the tougher LA teams when it comes time to choose that 4th spot in the playoff. Just ask the BIg12 teams that were left out if they would have traded one of their creampuff games for a shot at an SC or UCLA.
