A friend tells me about a MVB player who couldn't play at Low APR U as they didn't have a team but when to a Stanford grad school and played on a Stanford championship team
Dale Rubin a FB and track star played at Low APR U then Stanford and a member of our world record 4x 110 relay team.
Low APR U actually has a very strong men's club team. Two club teams, in fact. Gold and Blue if memory serves. They have a good coach and as you might imagine in this state, a lot of students who played high school level ball at a very high level and still wanted to play, but didn't want to invest 35 hours a week in a sport. My older son practiced with them once. They had a setter who'd been recruited by 1/2 dozen schools and wanted to play but didn't want to be second string at UCSB.Â
