Now the plot thickens.  Does Ca.l go through all the hoops Scarlett needs them to in order for him to enroll at Stanford? 

I agree with Garvin that calling it a transfer is misguided.  The guy will graduate in May and has another year of eligibility remaining.  He should be able to enroll wherever he has been accepted to grad school and get on scholarship at that school to use his remaining year of eligibility.  Ca.l shouldn't have any role in his graduate school destination whatsoever.
