Why do they think he was accepted to the Stanford GSB? I believe actual work experience  is required for admission. An MS&E masters program which is only one year seems much more likely. I suppose we will all know which path was taken shortly.

I was going to point out the same thing.  I think it stems from two things... at Berkeley, he was in the Haas Business school and received or is receiving a degree in business administration, so the logical conclusion is that he will get an MBA.  Secondly, Bear fans don't really know much about our degree programs; I'd be surprised if many know about MS&E.  Plus they can pretend that the GSB is majorly bending admission requirements to take him (which they would be doing if he came in without work experience).

BTW, if he did want to get an MBA, he would be doing himself a disservice getting the degree without first having worked (regardless of where he got the degree)
