Graduate school is a different admissions animal than undergrad. I'm curious if it may be easier to get into Stanford as a grad student than undergrad in some cases.
Depends on the school, I would imagine. My sister was admitted to one of Stanford's graduate schools with good grades but horrible test scores. Her story, however, was very compelling (tough upbringing, former Army MP, didn't graduate high school, but very strong undergraduate and Master's work at good schools). And she has done some exceptional work with her Stanford PhD.Â
