P.S.  I also disagree with aforementioned "rap" being Monty couldn't prepare his team for an opponent on shortened time in a Tourney.  I just think that's a crock. 

There's a reason Monty gets this "rap".  In the NCAA tournament his teams were 12-4 on the games with longer preparation time, and 4-8 on shortened time.  In a way, this shows his strength as a coach.  He could overcome relative disadvantages in athletic talent with superior preparation.
