On rooming with non-athletes:
This sounds neutral-to-positive on rooming with athletes. "Oh man, I hate rooming with smart people who might do something groundbreaking" is not a sentiment you hear terribly often.
On class:
Falling asleep in an 8 a.m. class...sounds like an awful lot of Stanford students I've known in my day. And correctly using the word "ironic" indicates someone...who's more likely a Stanford type of guy than not.
So I'm not sure I agree 100% with your police work there, Lou.

I was supposed to stay with McCaffrey but ended up spending the night in Perez's dorm room. Unlike a lot of schools, Stanford athletes actually live with non-athletes while in campus dorms.
They encourage athletes to integrate with the entire student body. Sometimes you could be living with someone on the verge of doing something groundbreaking, so you better make sure to become friends. There are a lot of smart people at Stanford.
The room was set up really efficiently, so there was space for me to sleep on a pull-out couch.
