Right now, with women's tennis to replace lacrosse, the women would score 755. Scoring 5 for men's golf (the minimum for participation in the tournament) score a minimum of 574.5, for a total of 1329.5. If men's golf makes the finals by finishing 5th or better tomorrow, that goes up at least 45 points, to 1374.5.
The questions are:Â
(1) will men's track and field outscore men's wrestling and supplant it in the scoring?Â
(2) will women's golf, track and field and/or rowing finish high enough to start knocking out field hockey, cross-country, and maybe even (shudder) basketball?
In women's golf, last year, 14th place overall scored 61.5 points.
In women's rowing, 9th scored 63 points.
In women's track and field, 14th was 61.5 points.
In men's track and field, 33rd was worth 40 points.
Finishes better than those will add to the total.
