That doesn't really help.  If they stopped considering more than 3 AP classes, they'd have to use some other metric to differentiate between applicants, and then students would feel pressure to improve on that metric.

It would shift the pressure from taking double-digit AP classes, which I view as harmful, to something else that might be better.
