I have a problem with public universities stocking their teams with foreign athletes. It seems to me that the primary mission of a state-supported university is to educate the people of the state. It's not really clear to me that educating foreign athletes fits in to that mission. Private universities, it seems to me, have more flexibility about how they want to define their mission.
