Hulk -- Maguire's 2nd shot club selection and shot choice were puzzling.  the ass't coach was in the hazard with her -- and that was the choice after considerable deliberation?  as you point out, play to a good yardage -- 80 yards to 100 yards -- where you can stop the ball close to a tough pin.  instead she leaves herself with a nearly impossible up and down. 


similarly, Whyte's 2nd shot to the par 5 was curious too.  poor club selection leaves her with a 45 yard bunker shot.  she hit a good shot but still ended up in the recovery area.  her up and down from that place may have been the best pressure shots I watched yesterday.
