These concessions were in the spirit of the venue for this tournament.  As several posters here know, Concession Club is named in honor of a famous acts of sportsmanship in golf: Jack Nicklaus conceding Tony Jacklin's two-foot par putt to tie the 1969 Ryder Cup.

Also seems remarkably fitting that the woman who conceded Stackhouse's putt is, like Jacklin, a Brit. 

And for any who don't know this, Nicklaus and Jacklin designed this course.

And yes, that was classic gimme range: not more than 15".
