I disagree, Stymie.  However, I would agree with you if the resulting Ryder Cup tie had meant that Britain retained the Cup instead of the actual circumstances in which the USA retained the Cup.

Agree with you CF, under the current rules, but my point was that if they were playing the same rules as Stanford and Baylor (i.e. tied matches go on to sudden death) JN would never have made that concession.
