Most of the 6 men were not exactly top qualifiers, but in theory they could win the NCAAs if all 6 did exceptionally well at the meet.
My guess? UCLA finishes 30th or so on the men's side and does not score at all on the women's side.
UCLA will not win on the women's side by participating in two events. Now the magic number is 1, with the squad trailing in the standings losing 21-0 in baseball with 2 outs in the ninth. If is not technically over, but it is over.
