Thanks Publius.  I had no idea that a band called Tame Impala existed, let alone that they released a new album.  Thank you for expanding my musical horizons.

And since we are talking about not well known bands from the Southern Hemisphere... I offer you Goldfish's brand new single.  They qualify as my favorite South African band (and also the only South African band I know).

Goldfish is an electronica and dance group hailing from Cape Town, South Africa, consisting of Dominic Peters and David Poole. They create dance music containing elements of jazz and African music, combining live instruments like double bass, saxophones, keyboards, flute, and vocals with samplers, effects and synths.[2]
