I'm sure Haden and the SC PR folks are working OT today on this. At the very least, I think they need to suspend him and require him to go to rehab. Which means he probably won't be coaching the team when we play the Toejams next month. ;)
Rehab? Let's not get carried away. You've never in your life been drunker than perhaps you should have been?

I've been drunker than I should have been many times. Very few of those times were after I turned 25. And none of them involved being inappropriately drunk at a work-related event.
To put this in context, I have tenure, but I would still be seriously worried about what consequences I'd face if I were inappropriately drunk in a way that publicly embarrassed my school in front of major donors.

I used to work with a "professional" who was extremely well thought of, got LOADED at a holiday party, felt up two wives (of other men) and defecated on a stairwell landing. brobdingnagian earner. He wasn't fired, but he wasn't allowed to leave his office for public events, meetings or anything firm-related for three years. he was not allowed in other offices, and had to get permission to go to clients. Very serious about this.
I can count on two fingers the number of professionals that I've seen that got that drunk at a work function.Â
