Ha! Lurking just beneath the surface, 76lsjumb, avoiding those Johnny Dawkins posts. Good job, but I knew you'd have to come up for air eventually.

Indeed, you caught me.  I was going to point out a few days ago how even you would have to give Dawkins some props if he succeeded in turning Michael Humphrey into a decent point guard, but somebody else saw the issue before I had a chance to post.

I will, however, observe that it likely isn't all Dawkins' fault that season tix sales are down from the Montgomery years.  As anyone who had season tix during that era will be able to tell you, the price of those seats [lower bowl, at least] increased ASTRONOMICALLY when Bowlsby introduced seat licenses, full ticket prices for exhibition games, etc.  I'm pretty sure it isn't Dawkins who's asking for the ridiculous per game prices that now exist, and I know for a fact that those prices adversely impacted season ticket sales.

But, hey, can't we at least wait until halfway through football season to start piling on Dawkins?  I've got to save my energy for defending Shaw's play-calling against teejers...  ;D
