FWIW, here's what the various statistical systems think about Stanford. (Like CTCard's look, they are of uncertain value so early in the season):

Sagarin: #21 in PREDICTOR
F/+: #17
FPI: #21

The ranking systems -- probably because they include so much preseason projection data -- don't seem to penalize us too much for the Northwestern game. And they don't know that we lost Harrison Phillips, for example. So I'm inclined to think our true strength is somewhat worse than the statistical systems' profile.
