Since we're talking chowdah, the best I've ever had is the Seafood Chowder at Burke's Seafood in Quincy, MA.  Lots of crab, clams, and lobstah in a rich stock.  If you don't believe me, ask fullmetal.  I took him there once.

Tis true.  I've been back to Boston a couple of times since, but I didn't have time to get actual seafood (either driving to Worcester or umpiring the Head of the Charles, very time consuming).

In-N-Out is a hit in Texas, btw.  Two locations in the DFW metro area and one in Austin, iirc.
