325 yards on the ground, 163 through the air. This is a very Stanford win, love it.
CTCard is loving it.

Very pleased to see some of my predilections have been noted on this board.
However, while I loved how well the run game was working and think that under the circumstances it was the right move for this game, this is not quite the offense I would most like to see for this team.
Most importantly, it was too run oriented: about 75% run plays. I think that's too much and doesn't make us dynamic enough. I'd like to see something more like 60% run plays, maybe a little less.
[Note vs Northwestern we had 43% run plays, and a bunch of dink and dunk passes.]
Generically, I'd like to see the run plays more north/south and a little less to the edge, but maybe not now for this team. First of all, the OL may not be the strongest we've had, but they are pretty athletic and move well. They should be able to (and look like they are starting to be able to) get moving and hit someone. Secondly, McCaffrey and Sanders both seem pretty good at finding holes and making moves - something easier to do toward the edge.
Good, fast defenses can stuff those sideways runs - making them more rare in the NFL. Whether we will face any of those remains to be seen.
I did like the nature of the pass game. Play action and lots of throws downfield to places where we have mismatches leading to completions that meant something - 11.6 yds/attempt and 18/.1 yds/completion. Good - though still too many drops.
