Yes, helicopter parents associated with the Stanford softball team.  A meeting was organized with the Stanford Athletic Director Bernard Muir by five parents of Stanford softball players, and was motivated by a sixth, Oregon softball coach Mike White.  They intentionally bypassed Coach Rittman, and Muir saw fit to exclude him from the meeting or any communications about the team.
