Strange to call college offenses "gimmicky" when ... they've worked for years now! The continued resistance to admitting spread offenses are legitimate variants of the game is pretty mind-boggling to me.
EDIT: It's also pretty delightful, in the article, that the NFL coaches seem resistant to the idea...that they themselves have pilfered extensively from college offenses. Tom Brady and Peyton Manning were basically running an Airraid offense for a while there.
