Well I'm in the east coast this week and had a chance at shake shack. It was very good, but I'm not sure if it's worth the hype. 

Shake Shack remains primarily a NYC thing. You have to realize that while there's lots of good food generally in NY, it's not easy to find a decent burger under $20. There was a big space to move into and they did it pretty well.

Personally I like the burgers and shakes, not so much the fries. My seven year old thinks its the height of gourmet.
