Shake Shack did have a run of very good fries for about 6 months, maybe a year ago. But then they changed back to the crinkle cut, so now I think they're back to being just ok.
In my mind In-n-out and Shake Shack are in different categories, but both great. I think Shake Shack will do pretty well here in LA when they open.
