If you get the chance, on the Friday before the Oregon game Jim will be a speaker and it will be in the new Locker Room. 

Can't be there but he is an awfully nice man.  I didn't notice but a friend of mine play the Stanford course with him once and had the same impression.  Also said he is sadly hobbled, with titanium this and alloy that.

Just to contrast then with now, the day the Voldemort was announced I had to call the Palo Alto Times (was that the name?) to ask the winner.  The woman who answered the phone, after a pause to ask, told me, "Mr. Plunkett has been announced as the winner.  It will be on the sports page tomorrow."  No TV coverage.  I was happy.
