The game was both grit and luck. It took grit for the players to come back and make it a game including making some of their own luck with some excellent defense and turnovers of their own in the second half, but it also took luck for the kicker to coug it at the end. There was much local celebration when Cal had the same luck against Texas in the beginning of the year.
