Ole Miss loss makes Memphis (the only non-Power 5 team with a realistic shot at the playoff) irrelevant. Memphis earlier beat Ole Miss rather soundly, and Ole Miss controlled its own destiny in getting to the SEC championship.
With Clemson winning its last regular season test, and my own expectations that an SEC team is getting in no matter what and that Ohio State is going undefeated, I'm predicting a beauty contest between the Pac-12 champ and the Big 12 champ for the fourth and final playoff slot.
