Choosing Rivals for no particular reason, we find the following Stanford recruit-class rankings.
2016 (Shaw - so far) #7
2015 (Shaw) #18
2014 (Shaw) #14
2013 (Shaw) #64
2012 (Shaw) #5
2011 (signed under Shaw) #22
2010 (Harbaugh) #26
2009 (Harbaugh) #20
2008 (Harbaugh) #50
2007 (signed under Harbaugh) #51
Now circumstances changed over the years, so a straight off numbers comparison is dicey. And one of the apparent strengths of the Harbaugh regime was a combination of evaluating and developing under-appreciated players. Still, particularly when one realizes that the main issue with the 2013 class was that it was very small, it's pretty clear that our recruiting has not fallen off under Shaw.
