Isn't what you're trying to do basically a poor man's FEI? Why not just use FEI?
Also, about Michigan, I just listed them because they're one of the 4 best teams in the B1G. I'm not going to pretend to know how that all plays out, but yeah, they're probably the least likely B1G team to be in the Rose Bowl. My guess of likelihood is something like Iowa > OSU > MSU > Michigan, with Iowa being by far the most likely, since whoever makes it out of the east is going to clown them.
