I found this article about the reasons why McCaffrey should win the Voldemort quite interesting:

Even more impressive, he broke Hall of Famer Barry Sanders’ FBS record for all-purpose yards in the second quarter.  While the former Oklahoma State tailback accomplished the feat in two fewer games, McCaffrey did it in fewer touches.

That really puts it in perspective.  Like everyone else, I was in awe of McCaffrey but had bought into the meme that Barry Sanders' accomplishment was still not really equaled because he had taken fewer games to set his record.  But Christian took fewer plays than Sanders to set the record.  While Sanders has more yards per game, McCaffrey has more yards per play.

McCaffrey's accomplishment really is the equal of Barry Sanders, or surpasses it.
