I don't hate everything about the b.ears....I love, for example, b.ear traps (the killing ones that are shaped like trombones).
Seriously, there has been such a change in attitudes toward gays (a generational thing) that I can't imagine that Calif will be proud of that vote much longer. I also can't imagine that it will pass legal scrutiny. Everyone is (or should be) equal before the law. Churches can refuse gay marriage but I don't see how the government can. Government works best when it enlarges freedom rather than restricts it.
My son (who played football at UCLA) knew of a couple of gay players there and, I am proud to say, he didn't even find it remarkable (altho he did say some players did react negatively to it).
