Beats me.  People also like to discredit McCaffrey's stats for being "inflated" by his return yardage.  They conveniently ignore that Sanders had 21 kick returns of his own in '88 (to Mac's 36), Christian just averaged 8.9 more yards (28.9 to 20.0).
