Thanks for all the great advice and commentary. I think we'll opt for sitting with the other Stanford fans and having a great time vs. worrying about the SC fans. I have heard that the band has been moved to the end zone seats next to the opposing team's fans.

Yes, all away teams sit in the corner seats of the Coliseum. They get like two tiny sections. The band does sit in the end zone seats (bleachers?) on the same end of the field.
