Of course, in my hometown nobody even knows the numbers of freeways they all have names (Eisenhower, Kennedy, Dan Ryan, Stevenson, Edens, Tri-State, etc.)

Ah, you're a Chicagoan. I remember those names from family trips but could never keep track of which was which. Heading out from Milwaukee to points east, we saw the Chicago freeways as bottlenecks to be suffered through.
