Here's another tip, which I learned from 2013: You can get it for less if you wait until game time. There's lots of people selling the lanyard/clear plastic ticket holder before the game, and they are everywhere, from the line at the shuttle buses at the Parsons Corp lot to the concourse around the stadium. It's usually $10. But I noted that the sellers were unloading them for $5 as we were walking towards the gates right before game time. It is a perishable inventory, after all.
You can also get the Rose Bowl T shirts for cheap from the vendors on the street post game as you walk back to the Parsons Corp lot. (The line for the shuttles back to downtown Pasadena are just waaaaay too long so we always walked). Those prices also drop to around $5 a shirt as the vendors have no market for them on January 2nd.
Isn't this awesome that we know the whole Rose Bowl routine? ;D
