Kudos to UCB for granting Scarlett his release to transfer to us.  The chance to play a year of football at Stanford with his brother, graduate education notwithstanding, surely was a special opportunity.  I still think there's space for Barry J in the Stanford offense next season, and he knows the offense.  Transferring means competition to earn the starting role, picking up a new playbook, and earning the trust of a new coaching staff.
