Stanfan, where did you hear this? There's an article posted at Rivals and dated today that indicates his list hasn't changed, and that it could even get larger rather than smaller.

Scout ran an article last week and he said his top 3 were Cal, Nevada, and Texas A&M. His teammate Matt Cochran has us in his final 5 and it sounds like Stanford wants him as a NT. But I'm not sure if either of these guys can get admitted.
