It caught me off guard when the article suddenly just . . . ended. I agree with ferrari. I'm not sure the author ever made a point. There are some N.oter Dame fans who are feeling outdone by Stanford apparently and I thought he was going to try to make some points to allay their concerns. I never felt that those points were given.Â
Also, it is irritating that the author commits grammatical gaffes while casually asserting the academic equivalence of the two schools. Examples: "could have easily chose the Irish over Stanford" or "The problem for N.otre Dame over the past 20 years has been the pool in which they can recruit from given the academic standards of the school" or "so perhaps the answer lays ahead in 2017 in Palo Alto".
