Why doesn't anyone put it into context the player's performances?
Fournette went against Texas Tech: #126 in total defense, gave up 6.9 yards per play on the year and 74 TDs
Jefferson went against Baylor: #62 in total defense, gave up 5.2 yards per play and 47 TDs
McAffrey went up against Iowa: #22 in total defense, gave up 5.0 yards per play and 28 TDs
Is it a wonder that Fournette especially had a brobdingnagian game?
Again, it's just a silly bowl game list from ESPN. In my opinion, the "All Purpose" designation typically does not get the same respect as RB. My primary concern is that these lists, to some people, position McAffrey as a "gimmick", not to be valued on the same level as a traditional running back. I hope that I'm wrong.
