I did not get the feeling from that article that Stewart was headed to UM because of the Admission officer.  I did get the feeling that maybe the admissions office saw Stewart's application as one that maybe they were bending on a little bit, and they wanted to reinforce that simply getting admitted should not be the end of the road.  But if I was Stewart, I might get a little pissed off if I had worked really hard to get in, and then was getting this stern warning. 

The bigger issue with UM could be that Stewart noted his former coach was now at Ann Arbor.  So who knows how that will play.  If Stewart really bonded with the other players, and his comfort level with them is higher than his comfort level at Ann Arbor, I guess he would still end up at Stanford.
