Right. I was more focusing on the commentary about who leads for him, with no mention of Stanford at all (I'm not worried that we're out of the running, just thought it was interesting).

I saw a video interview he did a couple weeks ago where he said academics were extremely important to him, and Stanford has the clear lead in academics above all other schools (including Notre Dame). 

If academics are really that important to him, I don't see him going to Texas, TAMU, or Alabama.  It'll come down to if he's accepted at Stanford or not.  Otherwise I see him committing to Notre Dame.
