Wilson is a point guard and if she can score, I could see her producing some competition for time at that spot which still seems unsettled to me. A lot will depend on how much Marta does to correct her weaknesses during the basketball break.
Fingall has a back-to-the-basket move, although it remains to be seen how she will do at the higher level of competition. I thought Alanna would be starting by now, so I'm certainly not a reliable judge of this sort of thing. What I saw in Alanna were her excellent moves around the basket and her three point shot--but it is hard to know about defense and ball handling until you actually see them squaring off against the higher level of competition. I just noticed that ESPN did not wind up ranking her as highly as the other services--meaning that even the experts were divided. But since Nadia is our highest ranked recruit at 26 next year, and she seems somewhat polished, it has to be considered a possibility that she could contribute early.
Carrington just seems to me to have the natural athletic gifts that will enable her to adjust quickly. I'm interested in what Bob has to say about her. I think with her the great question mark is whether she completely recovers from her injury and stays healthy, or will she be another Beebe who become injury prone. But a healthy Carrington would also seem to me to be a possible immediate contributor, depending on what happens over the summer.
