Man, it would appear that we are getting deeper and deeper into their collective heads. :D
The writer references the results of the last five years and describes the sweep by the home team in that series as the "status quo". He goes on to skip the implications of the game later this year apparently just assuming another home team win. So the focus, he says, is for Noter Dame to win in 2017 in Palo Alto to presumably break our will. Two or three losses in a row for Stanford in this series could start to unwind our recent momentum and lead to us returning to mediocrity.
That's baloney. But if they believe it, let's open up a can of industrial grade whup-ass next Fall and break their spirit. Then we can win all recruiting competitions with them henceforth. I guess.
