I have no knowledge either, but if he does get admitted it seems like a redshirt might be the best option, regardless of how talented he is, to make the academic transition easier. I dont know how much easier it would make things, and dont know if he'd view a redshirt as a negative, but if we admit him we need to do what we can to help him succeed academically. And if I'm the football program, I dont want admissions to get a bad result if they go the extra yard on this one. Certainly respect his determination....a lot.
