Funny that no reporters speak for Stanford re: Robertson and he is still given no chance to end up at Stanford on the latest 247 story, even though everyone now acknowledges the only reason he has not signed is because Stanford is where he wants to go.Â
If he were to be admitted to Stanford, what would the reaction here be if he signed elsewhere? That would make this the most curious recruitment in the history of recruitment.
What might be more interesting perhaps would be knowing if there are any on this Board who would have second thoughts about him being accepted right now, if that were possible, despite not attaining the requisite SAT score.

I'll take dedication & determination to pursue a dream over slightly better academics any day of the week and twice on Sunday. This is the kind of person I'd hire in a heartbeat.
LET THIS KID IN ALREADY.

The important phrase there is "slightly better academics". If that is the case then I agree. But admissions needs to decide whether this is a young man who can succeed in Stanford's academic environment. Given the little I know of him, he seems like the type of person who doesnt quit until he succeeds, and I hope they take that into account, but ultimately admissions has the info, and if they decide that he is not a good fit for Stanford I am ok with it, but I hope they admit him and that he accepts.
