If I were Demetris and happened to read this entire thread I would not want to attend Stanford anymore.  From the posts, no one here knows him or his family personally.  No one knows for sure what was or was not said by admissions or any coaches.  No one knows for sure that 1500 is some sort of magic number.  Heck, no one seems certain whether that is 1500/1600 or 1500/2400.  But that doesn't stop us from speculating about his intellectual capacity, his attention to school work, or whether he flosses daily.  We sound like a 1950s era coffee latch of bored, middle-aged housewives.

Yes, some posts laud his determination, which is great.  Some others posit that he put in so much time on athletics he didn't have time to study.  Ok.
