Sure you can--you just have to root in a really weird, "I hope he catches a difficult pass, jukes and outruns everybody to the 1-yard line, and then gets the ball knocked out of his hands by his own prematurely celebrating teammate resulting in a fumble recovery and touchdown for the other team," manner every time.

Man, the more I read about this kid, the more I like him. Sure hope I can just root for him to score a lot of touchdowns for his own team wearing red & white....
