A&M is a member of the AAU, I think.  Tech sure as heck better not be.  Only two SEC schools are (UF, Vandy).  This gathered from the A&M importance link on the first page of the other thread.

I\'m still waiting for ND to punk Nebraska by jumping into the BigTeleven first (you know ND is better than Nebraska $$-wise), thus preserving the Big12.  How awkward would that next directors\' conference be?
