I agree with you Nan3cy. There is always a place to be found for the truly exceptional candidate. There seems to be a consensus that Robertson is a 5***** football player. There is also evidence that he really wants to matriculate at Stanford and that he has significant talents and interests and ambitions outside of football. Re: SAT scores, he will probably be an outlier vis a vis his fellow members of the class of 2016, but so what? Demetris has grit. He could easily dump Stanford before we dump him and have a satisfying life playing and studying at GA, GT, Bama, etc. etc., but he hangs in there, doing his best to follow what seems to be his dream, and dodging all the slings and arrows of outrageous SAT expectations with dignity and respectful silence all the time.
I would love to see this young man at Stanford, whether he plays football for us or not.
